Each Berkshire grammar school has its own factors for deciding which grammar school eligibility. In other words not just their 11 plus results. For example, some grammar schools such as Reading’s Kendrick girls grammar school have a priority area criteria. Thus, those grammar school applicants living within the Kendrick school priority area are given priority. Kendrick School 11 plus girl applicants are allocated 11 plus places based on their total 11 plus standardised score in the ranked 11 plus list.Whereas, Reading School 11 plus boy applicants need to achieve an ‘eligible 11 plus score’ to be considered for a place at this Reading boys grammar school. How does this work. Well, if they achieve an eligible 11 plus score in the rank 11 plus order of standardised 11 plus scores, then their creative writing 11 plus test is also marked. At that point, they then need to meet a minimum 11 plus standard in this creative writing 11 plus sub-test.Each year, Reading Girls’ School offers 42 places on their selective grammar school stream. Slough Consortium11 plus exam in the w/c 12th Oct. Kendrick School 11 plus exam. Reading School for Boys 11 plus exam. Explaining the Slough and Reading 11 plus Formats The Slough and Reading 11 plus exam comprises two separate 11 plus papers; each lasting approximately 60 to 65 minutes. There is a mixture of questions on comprehension, verbal reasoning, mathematical reasoning, and nonverbal reasoning. The 11 plus exam papers are categorized into timed sections as well as the instruction we provide it on an audio soundtrack. In the Berkshire Consortium, 11+ admission to Kendrick School is also through CEM, an exam covering Verbal, Non-Verbal and Numerical skills. Reading School for Boys assesses students through a Maths test, an English test and a Creative Writing paper.
The CEM 11 plus test which is comprised of these three 11 plus papers: Verbal Reasoning 11 plus, CEM Non-Verbal Reasoning 11 plus and CEM Numerical Reasoning 11 plus. The Slough Grammar Schools Consortium’s 11+ Exam Date is September 2023.
